Our First Day

Lloyd & Judy arrived in London at 6:00am (PEI) and 10:00am (London) Friday; 1.5 hours behind schedule, which is not too bad. Sarah was waiting to meet us at Heathrow and after 1.5 hours on the tube, and bus (double decker) we arrived at Sarahs flat. First impression is...an old city, old buildings, millions and millions of people. We wanted to see the typical Brit...however we're now not sure that there is a typical Brit...London is a melting pot of all society. We will keep looking though! The remainder of the day was spent chilling out, a couple of hours sleep and then it was out and at 'em for dinner. We ate at The Giraffe with 15 Islanders and Maritimers who are teaching in London. Great food and drinks. Pictures of will follow. So far, we have discovered that it rains all the time in London, cars are all on the wrong side of the road and they have unisex public washrooms. We are so happy to see Sarah, who was equally as happy to see us. We met Sarah's flat mate Tracy, who is from New Brunswick. She is a great soul, keeping Sarah on the right track. Sarah and Tracy are enjoying the sweedish berries from Bulk barn, and cookies from Grammy Adams in O'Leary. Not sure what Saturday will bring; our activities will depend on how well we adjust to the time change and jet lag.

Hi Lloyd/Judy
Glad to hear you arrived. Hopefully not too tired.
Our bags are packed and we head out tomorrow. We will keep up with your progress from the sunny south.
PS The rocket won last night.
